In the initial consultation, the designer is able to determine the client’s personal style and collaboratively discuss ideas for the new space. In the beginning, it’s all about rapport and developing a relationship with the client in order to deliver a space with exceptional style and functionality. During the consultation the designer pulls up the California Closets app with extensive product options and inspirational photos in order to get alignment on personal style.

Troy assembled a team of experts to make this vision a reality. It includes his wife, Tricia, who has won multiple awards for her designs in the Parade of Homes and at the Orlando Home and Garden Shows. Troy’s business partners are Joe Brotzman, an experienced hardscape professional, and Ben Paulus, an expert carpenter, who is also a licensed building contractor. Troy oversees all of the departments as well as holding a general contractor’s license.

In the center of the curvilinear pool, PPCF built a long, oval, sunken walled-in area that has built-in benches along the sides with an enormous oval firepit that is laden with red lava rocks in the center. Overhead, an aluminum motorized pergola with adjustable louvers allows for protection from the sun or rain and can direct cool breezes downward. Amazingly, a wide, gentle waterfall cascades from one side of the pergola, forming a sheer curtain of water behind the cylindrical stools by the swim-up bar which is formed by one wall of the sunken seating area.

Unfortunately, there are two things that can keep you stuck indoors: the glaring sun and persistent flying insects, namely mosquitoes, lovebugs and no-see-ums. So what can you do to avoid having to choose between being inside and wanting to be outside?
