Grotto, Jump Rock, Spa Features Add to Pool Project Success

The team at Landmark Pools takes pride in pool design and installation, not only to deliver excellent results to their clients, but also to continue a longstanding family legacy.
Over 38 years, Landmark Pools has built a reputation of exceptional service and quality products, said Owner Bart O’Connell. And every effort is made to ensure Landmark upholds that reputation.
The foundation of the company began with Patrick O’Connell.
“My dad started the business in 1986, having worked as a subcontractor, doing this kind of work since 1978,” said Bart, with Patrick putting in a lot of hard work along the way. “He passed away in 2017. I had been working for the company as general manager starting in 2008 and gradually began doing more on the sales side as well. I know the pool industry well and continue to keep up on trends and products. it’s important to me that our clients benefit from that knowledge,” he said.
O’Connell’s sister, Bre Walsh, is Landmark Pools’ co-owner. His wife Cate also works for the company. Along with the rest of the team, they maintain stellar reviews and throngs of happy customers with refurbished backyard home bases.
Rave reviews have come from as far as Sarasota, The Villages and Lakeland.
Take a dip in luxury
A recent residential project in Bradenton, for example, began with a homeowner’s request for a resort-style pool. But it’s a pool with all the extras.
“They wanted to add a spa by the house, too,” somewhere they could relax in bubbly luxury, O’Connell said. Landmark Pools delivered.
Their professional installers also put another cool feature on the property: A waterfall with a grotto – or mini-cave – underneath with a bench for sitting and chilling out in the Zen-like atmosphere. With water coming down all around, it’s easy to see how tension
can melt right away.
Across from the grotto is a jump rock. It gives users a vantage point to jump, dive, or cannonball into seven-foot-deep water from a structure with a more natural design than a diving board offers.
And it’s all outside the homeowners’ back door.
What adds to the vibe of a successful project, says O’Connell, is the tropical landscaping installed into key areas for shade, including ti, palm and other leafy accents. It adds so much to set a mood as well as offer respite from the sun.
An exotic vacation lasts a week or two. But a Landmark Pools’ installation ensures your property offers fun, relaxation and entertainment space for years to come.
