So Much More than a Flooring Store
When the Serota family had their first home built in 1991, they purchased the best they could then afford. Through the years, that house, built with builder’s grade finishes, cabinets and flooring, served their growing family well. Almost 25 years later, the Serotas were ready to get rid of the dated look, but not ready to give up the home that held so many memories. After talking to many companies and designers about their vision for the remodel, they met with Jim Yeager, the owner and President of Yeager and Co. Inc., and Melanie Carter, the vice-president. Cyndee Serota saw that they truly understood her aspirations for her home, and she soon learned that the company, started by Jim’s grandfather more than 70 years ago in Philadelphia as a flooring store, was so much more!
Upgraded kitchen, baths and laundry room were a high priority for the Serotas. Yeager and Co. Inc. was, of course, able to provide them with a wide selection of top quality flooring, which they then coordinated with American-made, beautifully crafted Welborn cabinetry in each of those spaces. More importantly, they were able to “get creative” and find a stylish solution to a major problem the Serotas had been experiencing with their 25-year-old home: cracking of the ceiling in their master bath. Other fixes had been attempted over the years, but none so well-designed as the wooden tongue-in-groove ceiling Yeager installed. Beautiful and practical, the tongue-in-groove absorbs sound and is able to “move” enough to accommodate any future settling. Even better, this treatment is the perfect fit for their design genre, which they have dubbed, “Farmhouse Glam.”
Cyndee Serota, who was hands-on in creating all the personal touches for her home, summed it up, “Yeager got it, and they got it right!”
Yeager and Co. Inc. continues to grow and expand their range of services. Their goal, says Melanie, is to “take it from studs to pictures on the wall and sheets on the bed.” See what they can do by visiting their website at yeagerflooring.com, or calling (813) 918-2737.
