St Pete Florida Couples Pool of Their Dreams

It all started with a dream. When Dr. Greg Hahn set out to build a new home for his family in St. Petersburg, Florida, he envisioned a place with where the indoor and outdoor spaces merged seamlessly. He dreamed of being able to walk out of his house and right into the pool. Many times, the pool is built as a separate space from the home. Dr. Hahn’s vision was to integrate the two spaces so that the pool felt just as much a part of his home as the indoor space did.

In addition to having a fluid design, the Hahn’s needed a pool that would be functional. They decided that due to the complicated nature of the pool’s design, it needed to be built first and the house would be built around the pool. While there were obstacles along the way, the completed project was a success!

They chose to include a vanishing edge on their pool. This design element beautifully complements the modern look they love. While the vanishing edge style is usually a feature that is used for water-front pools, this one is proof-positive that the design is stunning with or without the water-to-water look.

Another spectacular feature of the pool is its dazzling water blue bead-crete finish. Glass beads on the interior finish along with glass tile are what gives the water such a breathtaking blue color. A large sun-shelf in the shallow end of the pool provides a space perfect for relaxation. The spa also features its own built-in sun shelf for added comfort while lounging.

“Landmark was wonderful because they took what our dream was and made it a reality. They worked with me and our architect to create exactly what we had in mind,” said Dr. Hahn. “I love everything about our pool.”
