Creating Paradise Through Synergy - Florida Suncoast Premium Pool Builder

Dennis Demirjian knew, when he purchased his home in Boca Ciega Bay, that the large, empty yard facing the water was meant to be his personal paradise. All he needed was to find..

find the right people who had the talent, reputation and experience to turn his vision into reality. After researching several local pool builders, and at the insistence of insiders who worked in auxiliary industries, Dennis called Landmark Pools.
“I could tell when I spoke to them that they were more knowledgeable and open to incorporating my ideas than any of the other builders I had contacted,” he stated.
Bart O’Connell, second generation owner of Landmark Pools, agreed with Dennis that his property was an ideal setting for a spectacular pool and deck. “This is the lot that you dream about if you live in Florida,” Bart explained. “It was just a pleasure to be able to do work in a setting like that.” Bart brought in one of his top designers, Charles Dray, to help make Dennis’ dreams a more perfect reality. Charles’ background in landscape architecture and his detailed knowledge of the most current trends in pool design augmented Dennis’ vision for his pool area.
His ideas included a sleek, retro-modern look for his large, L-shaped pool and deck. Sixteen-inch deep, thirty-foot wide travertine-clad stairs formed an impressive emergence from the house down to the pool deck. The oversized travertine pavers created a neutral background that would not interfere with the design of the pool. Its long, negative edge gave the illusion of merging with the waters of the bay. The submerged spa was created so that the clean visual line of the pool was not dominated by spa walls that stood above the deck.
Lighting type and placement were also very important to Dennis, as he wanted to be able to lounge outside in the evening and look out at the soothing view of the pool and the bay without the glare of ill-placed generic lighting. The LED lights were placed in such a way as to emit a glow that highlights the surround without impeding the view. To add a bit of fun, Laminar deck jets were installed at the sides of the pool. These can be programmed to display different colors on the arcs of water that dance across the pool.
In the pool itself, therapy jets that blow pool-temperature water were installed by a long bench in one of the two shallow ends of the pool, to give a gentle back massage between swims. For more intense muscle relief, the submerged spa has stacked jets that can pulse heated water from the feet to the shoulders.
Thanks to the team at Landmark Pools, Dennis, his girlfriend, Rachel, and their new Labradoodle puppy will be able to enjoy their new poolside paradise. “Landmark Pools did a great job,” Dennis said. “I’m very excited that I went with them. They did a fantastic job of communicating and have been completely reliable and fair. I’m very detail oriented, as are they, and I can say that they hit the ball out of the park.”
