“Every Person’s Home is Their Castle”

By Ilyne Hayes

Dave Wenrich, like many successful entrepreneurs, started working and learning business ethics at a very young age. At just 14 years old, while other boys his age were playing Asteroids at the arcade, Dave was busy dealing with other types of rock. His brother-in-law had introduced him to his family’s business, taken him under his wing, and taught him the time-honored art of masonry.

After years of honing his trade in his native Philadelphia, Dave and his wife moved to Central Florida, where Dave steadfastly worked and grew his business, and in 2001, Dave Wenrich & Company was incorporated.

Due to a reputation for excellence through his many years of experience, Dave is the masonry contractor of choice for many commercial and luxury home builders. He also loves the challenge of helping homeowners create a custom masonry project, be it interior or exterior, that will not only reflect their personality and taste, but will also greatly improve the value of their home.

“Stone is one of the biggest returns for your money,” Dave quoted from Remodeling Magazine’s 2020 Cost vs. Value Report. “Stone gives you the curb appeal and the aesthetic to make your home stand out.”

There is no job too big or too small for Dave to take on. “Every job is an important job,” Dave related. “Every person’s home is their castle. Every client is an important client.”

Dave treats his clients as if they are the royalty who live in the castle! After an in-depth phone conversation, either Dave or his designer will go to the client’s home to examine the structure, bringing some samples and ideas for the client to consider. Careful measurements are taken, and a rough estimate for the completed job is proffered. During the discussion of design possibilities, Dave will walk his clients through the process, so they will know what to expect, and he will explain why certain choices may be the best for their specific home and situation.

The royal treatment continues all the way through construction, as Dave Wenrich & Company’s crew of experienced and well-trained workers all follow Dave’s lead in the ethics of masonry work, “Treat each job as though you were building this in your own home.” This means that no corners are cut, the job is done to exceed expectations, and the client’s property is respected.

“My guys are awesome,” Dave stated. “They take pride in their work and are very careful in dealing with what is around them. They cover the customer’s bushes with tarps, not plastic, which better protects their landscaping. We cover sidewalks and driveways and clean up the area so that there is no debris left on your property. When we leave, everything is as clean, or cleaner, than it was when we got there! After your masonry work is done, the only sign that we were ever working there is the stunning new stonework that adorns your home.”
