Troy assembled a team of experts to make this vision a reality. It includes his wife, Tricia, who has won multiple awards for her designs in the Parade of Homes and at the Orlando Home and Garden Shows. Troy’s business partners are Joe Brotzman, an experienced hardscape professional, and Ben Paulus, an expert carpenter, who is also a licensed building contractor. Troy oversees all of the departments as well as holding a general contractor’s license.

Working as a team, Ohana Outdoor Living will visit your home to inspect your site and discuss your needs, dreams and desires for your outdoor living space. Tricia brings your vision to life with a 2-D imaging of what your backyard haven will look like, while giving you recommendations on all aspects of the project such as cabinetry, flooring, lighting, special features and appliances. “We recently finished this 2,000 sq ft outdoor living space for the Goldman family in Lake Mary,” Tricia says. “They are very much into entertaining and wanted two separate kitchens. One of the kitchens has a wet bar and fridge perfect for adult entertaining, along with NatureKast weatherproof cabinetry that has every convenience imaginable. The other kitchen has a huge grilling area featuring an Alfresco grill and room for a future pizza oven. Their vision included a giant island perfect for friends to gather, eat and socialize!”

Ohana made sure the entire space worked for the family’s vision, blending the old with the new seamlessly. They redesigned the current screen enclosure by raising the height several feet, which gave the space a more grand effect. Two different types of flooring were used to differentiate the cooking and dining spaces from the living and playing spaces. The food service areas all have large format plank porcelain tile, while the rest of the deck has traditional concrete pavers. They replaced the lighting, ceiling fans, all the exterior doors and hardware. They updated the columns and gave everything a fresh coat of paint. The outdoor space is now fully functional with everything looking fresh, clean and modern, the ideal space for this family to enjoy.
